Dal Tikki from leftover Chana-dal Dhudhi

Sending this recipe to Scrumptious Delights from Leftover event hosted by PJ at Seduce Your Tastebuds....

Some of you might remember the Chana-dal Dhudhi (Lauki or bottle gourd) recipe that I had posted early this year... click here

Well this is a regular dish made in our household... and at times we end up having a left over so the next day I do the following to convert it into a tea-time snack:

  1. Leftover Chana-dal Dhudhi
  2. One medium onion - chopped
  3. A bunch of fresh coriander - finely chopped
  4. One or two green chili - finely chopped
  5. Oil for frying
  1. Mix all the items listed above, except oil.
  2. Make small tikkis out of the mixture
  3. Shallow fry in a pan or tava
  4. Serve hot with ketchup with tea
I wanted to send this to Leftover Delicacies hosted by Daisy Blue of Spicy Lounge, but due to tax filing deadline in US (4/15/10) - I was very busy and couldn't find a time to post this recipe - I will still send it over to her in hopes that includes it in the round ups....
