Aloo Tikki


This is one of the easiest and yummiest snack that one can make when in a hurry and is in a mood to have some tea-time snack...

Ingredients:
  1. Three medium potatoes - boiled and mashed
  2. 1/2 cup of green peas
  3. 1/2 cup of carrots - thinly sliced
  4. 1/4 cup of  corns
  5. A bunch of fresh coriander - finely chopped
  6. Two green chilies - finely chopped
  7. Salt per taste
  8. 1 tblsp lime juice
  9. 1/4 tblsp sugar
  10. One egg and oil for frying

Process:
  1. Microwave green peas, corn and carrots for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Mix together mashed potatoes, microwaved veggies, green chilies, coriander, salt, lime juice and sugar.
  3. Mix well and divide it into 10 equal portions in a form of patties/tikki.
  4. Heat the frying pan and grease it with a tblsp of oil.
  5. Beat the egg in a small bowl.
  6. Dip the tikki in the egg and place it on the pan.
  7. Fry one side till golden brown (adding a tblsp of oil if necessary).
  8. Flip it over and fry this side till golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with ketchup.
  10. Repeat the process with the remaining tikkis.
NOTE: You can also bake the tikkis if you don't want to use oil and eggs.
